The Opportunity The Media Producer coordinates projects through the Director of the Academic Innovation Media Team. Additionally, they will also collaborate with university and campus leadership, course production teams, and/or other members of the Media Team to plan and produce creative, high‑quality photo, video, and motion graphics for Embry‑Riddle Worldwide online courses and initiatives.
This position is primarily responsible for planning, producing, and storing video projects assigned to the Media Team using photo‑video equipment and editing software. Additional responsibilities include handling audio, video and lighting equipment, converting various file types for use in an online environment, providing coaching and guidance on best practices for creating video, collaborating on scripts and storyboards, and ensuring Section 508 compliance for all videos.
Media Producers also play a key role in the live stream production of commencement ceremonies and other events during certain times of the year. At these events, responsibilities include configuring hardware and software to manage live stream animations and transitions, operating cameras, and setting up and controlling teleprompters for presenters.
Media Producers must be able to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and communicate and collaborate effectively. This position requires the production of high‑quality visual products and demands great attention to detail.

Qualifications Required Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with an area of concentration in Video Production, Broadcasting, Digital Media, or related field
1‑3 years of work experience in Creative/Marketing field
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
Able to lift and carry video production gear
Set up, operate, and disassemble equipment properly
Familiar with Canon cameras
Can use cinema cameras to capture stunning video
Can use mirrorless cameras to photograph events and portraits
Can light a scene and/or a subject in a studio or on location
Cast and direct talent to create engaging and compelling narratives, ensuring alignment with the agreed‑upon deliverable(s)
Use audio recording hardware to capture top‑notch audio
Use video editing applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro to produce outstanding educational and/or marketing videos
Requires flexible scheduling involving night and weekend assignments
Occasional travel may be required
Consult with project stakeholders to plan timelines, scope, and deliverables
Ability to organize, coordinate, and oversee multiple projects
Organize and maintain a systematic digital library of project files for effective collaboration
Ability to accept feedback as part of the creative process and educate clients on design theory
Ensure brand consistency & accessibility according to ERAU branding, and web strategy guidelines
Highly developed interpersonal skills
Effective communication, writing, proofing, and editing skills
