DSV is hiring a Customer Service Agent (Job ID 105880) located in the USA – Carteret. The role is full‑time and focuses on building rapport with clients, processing and tracking customer orders, and ensuring accurate data entry for shipping and receiving activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Process all customer orders accurately and enter data into the system. Run and print shipments from the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Generate stock reports to check product availability. Generate all paperwork and necessary information for customer work orders. Check all orders for special requests and expedite as required. Trace orders and notify customers of any activity concerning their merchandise. Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are met. Verify customers and assure proper invoicing of accounts. Handle returned merchandise and confirm proper credit to the customer. Customer Interfacing Activities
Maintain working relationships with customers by responding to inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoicing, shipments and inventory management. A liaison between the warehouse and the customer for accounts administration. Act as a liaison between the office and the customer regarding invoicing and credit changes. Documentation
Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents. Gather and maintain all data and records related to shipping and receiving. Confirm receiving counts match packing lists and purchase orders. Prepare reports concerning customer service as requested by supervisors. Assist in resolving any discrepancies. Data Entry
Operate computer terminal proficiently. Enter and verify customer orders, shipments, receipts, inventory, and adjustments accurately and timely. Clerical
Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain corresponding files. Answer phone calls, operate office machines, and greet customers and visitors. Communication
Answer incoming calls courteously and route to proper parties. Assist callers with general information and inquiries. Direct visitors to appropriate departments. Additional Duties (Site Specific)
Cross‑train in other administrative functions to support the site. Work overtime as dictated by business needs. Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to work in warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate. Preferred Qualifications
1–3 years of warehouse/logistics support experience. 2–3 years of customer service experience. Physical Demands
Handling/Fingering, sitting, bending, walking, standing, lifting 21–50 pounds. Work Environment
The role involves limited exposure to fumes or chemicals; noise levels are usually low to moderate. Compensation and Benefits
Base pay ranges from $19–$21 per hour.
