As the HR Generalist you will be working in an office based setting within our HR department located in Mt. Holly, Burlington County NJ.

Schedule:

Full-time; Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, One hour unpaid lunch.

Competencies Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. In-depth understanding of current local, state, and federal laws pertaining to employment policies and best practices. Excellent proofreading abilities. Works well in a team-based, culturally diverse environment, handling all situations with diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality. Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details, and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with various completion dates. Self-directed with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.

Assists in the development and implementation of various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel.

Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

Assist in keeping employees informed of all changes in personnel policies and counsel with employees on personnel policies.

Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.

Conducts interviews of complainants, witnesses, and respondents; maintains a positive employee relations atmosphere by responding to employee concerns, addressing issues proactively, and advising management staff.

Helps employees and management to resolve work‑related conflicts through recommendations and conducts investigations when necessary.

Tracks all complaints, investigations, and disciplinary actions.

Coordinates and participates with supervisory staff in disciplinary proceedings, including assisting in exit meetings.

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Monitors unemployment claims and assists departments with appeals.

Maintains good public relations within the Agency and community.

Assists with HR functions as needed, from onboarding, licensing compliance, benefits, etc.

Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, andਦਾ procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources; OR

High School Diploma with affiliation with HR programs and HR organizations.

PHR preferred.

Three (3) years of employee relations experience required;

Background in employee relations and employment law preferred;

Supervisory experience a plus;

Experience and/ or knowledge of Ulti‑Pro/UKG or Essential Learning a plus;

Certificate in Investigations a plus;

Valid Driver's License required
