Role Overview The Solutions Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping the customer’s experience by driving quality, accuracy, and value throughout the early stages of the sales cycle.

This role partners closely with Sales, Design, and Sales Operations to develop strategic solutions, coordinate vendor pricing, and align design intent with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Supports Sales and Customer Success teams during the early sales cycle by developing solution strategies that align with client goals and budgets.

Utilizes budget templates, requests vendor quotes, organizes product solutions and alternatives, and presents findings in clear, compelling formats.

Requests and tracks vendor quotes; evaluates pricing options for competitiveness and profitability.

Collaborates with Design to confirm product specifications and value‑engineered alternatives as needed.

Provides in‑house ancillary furniture support as directed by Sales, Design and Sales Operations.

Procures fabric and finish samples as needed to support design concepts and project opportunities.

Prepares supporting documents and visuals for bid responses, presentations, and client deliverables.

Coordinates proposal handoff to internal teams once opportunities move into the post‑award phase.

Acts as liaison between Sales, Design, Sales Operations, Marketing, and vendor partners to ensure alignment and communication across all deliverables.

Escalates project or process challenges proactively, coordinating appropriate resources to drive resolution.

Champions process improvements and standardization across departments to reduce turnaround time and enhance quality.

Continuously seeks learning opportunities related to product applications, systems, and tools to improve solution development and client outcomes.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED plus a bachelor’s degree and up to 2‑5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

Operations database experience is preferred, as well as previous working experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, CAP 20/20, InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite.

Detail Orientation: Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Industry Knowledge: Understands the commercial furniture industry, including manufacturer programs, pricing structures, and services.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English; write routine reports and correspondence; identify and pursue missing or incomplete data; speak effectively in English before small groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Extensive background in use of word processing and database programs.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad; frequent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching.

Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
