Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County
The(console) Marketing Specialist will have a good working knowledge of marketing and communications practices and trends, and 2‑3 years of experience in the field, preferably in the nonprofit arena. This role will work with leadership, the fundraising staff, operations and youth development professionals to build support and attract resources that will expand awareness of BGCCC’s brand, differentiate BGCCC from other BGA clubs in the region, and guide organizational growth.

This role is responsible for mission‑focused communications that ҳамин inspire and inform all Club stakeholders to greater levels of engagement and investment with the organization and supports all aspects of BGCCC public outreach and fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities Leadership
Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies designed to build appreciation and support of Club programs, services, and activities, and to increase participation by youth in the community.
Contribute to development planning, identifying opportunities to improve and promote Club services and brand awareness through marketing and social networking activities.
Resource Development
Contribute to attaining financialVan support by increasing the donor database through Gilmarketing and public relations campaigns.
Design and promote special events, engage community support and generate revenues.
Resource Management
Manage vendors and freelance consultants to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of products and services with budget.
Establish and maintain procedures and formats for marketing and public relations materials and activities.
Continuously develop knowledge of best practices to market Club programs, concess distancing services and activities withinongoing community.
Marketing & Social Networking
Maintain BGCCC website and use WordPress; create and maintain exceptional public relations with all external social media strategies for the organization including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and managing the Loomly platform.
Develop collaborative partnerships with Club staff, volunteers, members, parents, supporters, other Clubs, consultants and vendors and other not‑for‑profit organizations to establish professional links within the community.
Build media contacts and actively pitch stories and articles to enhance marketing bandwidth within Coll kleiner County and surrounding areas.
Provide, create and maintain information for the monthly newsletters, brochures, and other marketing collateral including infographics.
Develop & design all marketing and public relations events to increase the visibility of Club programs, services, and activities; maintain good public relations with local media contacts, members, families, alumni, community leaders and youth serving professionals.
Create and design annual marketing reports; produce graphic designs with Canva and Adobe Illustrations to create appeals of fundraising material.
Maintain an efficient editorial eye for errors and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
Relationships Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, explain guidelines/instructions; and advise/counsel.
External:
Maintains contact with members, families, alumni, community leaders, youth serving professionals, other Clubs, media contacts, vendors, consultants, organizations and others to achieve program goals and objectives, manage costs, share information and resolve problems.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and public relations, including media relations.
Superior writing, storytelling, editing and verbal communications skills.
Strong project management, administrative and organizational skills, including supervision of vendors, suppliers and consultants.
Knowledge of desktop publishing and usual computer applications. (Software proficiencies: Canva, Adobe Illustrations, Loomly and WordPress).
Brand management and positioning, social media strategy, community management, content marketing and editorial strategy.
Systematic and creative thinker who can work on multiple projects simultaneously with a short timeframe. Requires excellent organizational skills, efficient time management, and careful attention to detail.
Able to manage multiple priorities, be attentive to details and be able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
