Jord International
The Senior Sales Manager will drive growth in sales, margin, and new customer footprint across Jord’s Resources products and services for mining and minerals processing applications in North America (Canada, USA, Mexico).
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the growth of our existing strategic accounts while also identifying and engaging new strategic targets to support sales growth Significant input into sales forecast preparations and accountable for meeting and exceeding set sales targets for Resources products and services for mining and minerals processing applications, within North America (Canada, USA, Mexico) Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements. Persuade clients that Jord’s product offering best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery Monitor the competitive landscape / competitive activity and report how it impacts Jord’s goals and objectives Review client bidding documents, specifications and requirements and complete bids and proposals that are accurately sized, estimated and designed to meet client needs Collaborate with the relevant plant / proposals team and technology manager to ensure the most valuable and competitive solution is presented to the customer Preparation and/or review of cost estimates in line with the company’s technical and commercial requirements Preparation and/or review of technical and commercial bid evaluations and clarification responses, and attend meetings as required Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs Use and maintenance of the company’s contacts, projects and quotation databases and quote management systems Adhere to all Jord company policies and IMS requirements Skills and Experience
At least 10 years of professional experience in business development and selling high value, high complexity solutions to the mining or mineral processing industries A strong network of existing clients and sales generation to EPC companies, mining end users and relevant consultants Proven experience in capital equipment sales, particularly for solids/liquid separation and/or flotation and/or related process equipment and/or mine tailings processing/handling/management is highly regarded Detailed understanding of mineral beneficiation and refining processes (particularly for copper, gold, lithium, coal, iron ore, potash, rare earths) is highly regarded Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Proven track record in developing and growing long‑term relationships across relevant industries A proactive and positive attitude focused on the development of the Company’s business and the support of fellow staff, working cooperatively and constructively within a culturally diverse team environment A degree of flexibility and mobility, i.e. preparedness to work outside of hours to accommodate time zones given the international nature of Jord’s business; interstate & international travel, including to site Strong written and spoken communication skills with a proven ability to sell, negotiate and win business.
