The Social Emotional Supports (SES) Counselor assesses, coordinates, and documents treatment services for assigned clients, providing trauma-informed interventions, classroom observations, and individualized behavior plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Observe children in classrooms, identify social-emotional needs, and provide actionable feedback to educators and families.
Deliver short-term, developmentally appropriate interventions using evidence-based frameworks such as Circle of Security and Conscious Discipline.
Coach teachers on positive behavior strategies and support implementation of individualized behavior plans.
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and behavioral data in compliance with program requirements.
Collaborate with program staff, participate in family meetings, and respond appropriately to classroom or therapeutic crises.
Qualifications:
Requires a Master’s in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
License preferred.
Registered internship required within 90 days of employment
At least 1 year of experience in childcare setting or relevant experience.
Two years of experience with young children and families.
Valid Florida’s driver’s license is required.
