Responsibilities
Primary territory salesperson for all account types in an assigned geography (convenience, gas stores, small grocery, drug, dollar stores, supermarkets, mass merchants)
Provide an elevated level of professional selling, drive revenue share and profit growth, and manage communications with Store Owners, Store Managers, and other buyers
Manage all aspects of sales in small‑format and low‑volume accounts: upselling, new orders, inventory management, and support
In large‑format accounts, drive incremental selling initiatives and collaborate with a pod of Merchandisers
Develop and motivate a team of Merchandisers on accurate order submission, customer service, display execution, and inventory management
Grow and develop customers in the assigned territory
Monitor and administer contract compliance in small‑format accounts
Communicate incremental displays sold and product needs to Merchandisers
Provide superior customer service and build strong relationships to develop sales strategy
Execute local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to maximize brand performance
Collaborate with Key Account Managers, Territory Sales Leads, and Merchandisers to target incremental opportunities and drive KPIs (Revenue, Share, Waste, Profit)
Sell Customer Development Agreements, holiday promotions, and various initiatives with key customers
Ensure product is available, rotated, and priced appropriately
Maintain a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Lift up to 40 lbs. periodically
Develop opportunities for others and help grow the Merchandiser team
Requirements
18 years or older
Must have a car and a valid U.S. driver’s license with proof of insurance
Indefinite right to work in the United States
Preferred Experience
Sales/selling experience, including new products, promotions, and expansion of distribution channels
Account management experience and ability to meet sales and profit targets
Business‑to‑business selling and relationship building
Experience with incremental selling and upselling techniques
Experience selling beverages or consumer products
Financial target management (volume, revenue, profit margins)
Data‑driven selling using retail data and consumer research
Solutions selling – tailoring solutions to customer needs
Coaching and developing others
Customer service experience with issue resolution
Merchandising (planograms, displays, stocking)
Inventory management (ordering, re‑stocking, projections)
In‑store marketing (POP placement, creative displays)
Ability to work with limited supervision
Safety procedure compliance (proper lifting, safety processes)
Route management – prioritizing stops, scheduling, account servicing
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with PepsiCo sales applications (SMARTr, Savvy, etc.)
Proficiency with P.E.P.S.I and Premier
