Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to be the face of CIBT, working as a dedicated Visa and Passport Consultant on location at our New York City office. As a Visa and Passport Consultant, you will provide the best‑in‑class service to our customers through tailored solutions that meet specific travel needs. Our Consultants play a vital role in guiding our clients through the visa and passport application process, driving customer satisfaction and acting as brand ambassadors.

As a Visa and Passport Consultant, you will:
Become specialized in visa and passport processing; maximizing efficiencies and productivity.
Collect necessary documents from the traveler and submit them to the relevant Consulate.
Provide a high level of service to customers; providing detailed information on available services that align with requirements, and assisting the customer in making informed decisions.
Analyze customer requests and make recommendations based on specific travel needs, ensuring realistic expectations that promote a dedicated customer base.
Maintain customer records in a proprietary database, utilizing system functionality to ensure accurate submission of data that maximizes productivity.
Represent CIBT in a professional manner, ensuring compliance to CIBT policy and ethics and adhering to the Standards of Work policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
In this position you will learn:
Travel document requirements for efficient and timely processing.
Best practices and quality control, following policies and procedures and upholding standards of work to ensure compliance.
Product and service enhancements, system updates, and changes to requirements.
Experience Required:
1 year prior experience working in a corporate office environment.
Prior travel industry experience is an asset but not required.
Proficiency with computer software (must be highly proficient with Outlook), aptitude for learning new programs and commitment to data integrity.
Working Conditions and Location:
Office environment: exposure to computer screens, working closely with others in an open office environment.
Work location is in New York City, in‑office support is required Monday through Friday.
Work location complies with all COVID-19 safety protocols.
Physical Demands:
Visual acuity: ability to view computer screen for the full shift, approximately eight hours.
Sitting for an extended period of time.
Manual dexterity for operating a computer, keyboard and mouse.
Speaking for operating a phone with the ability to convey detailed information accurately and clearly.
Walking (15% of the day).
Light lifting (no more than 25 pounds).
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $21 - $24 (depending on geographic region, internal equity, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors)
