Application Engineer – Mixed Reality Manufacturing Systems Location:

Kennesaw, GA (Hybrid with Travel) Compensation:

Competitive Base Salary + Benefits Employment Type:

Full-Time - On-site

About the Company Our client is redefining how advanced manufacturing teams work by bringing

Mixed Reality (MR)

directly onto the production floor. Through its innovative ProjectionWorks division, Delta Sigma delivers next-generation solutions that replace outdated paper instructions with

real-time, high-precision digital projections —driving speed, accuracy, and consistency across complex assembly environments.

Their flagship platform enables aerospace, automotive, and industrial manufacturers to dramatically reduce errors, shorten training time, and boost throughput—without changing how teams physically build.

The Role We’re looking for a

hands‑on, technically curious Application Engineer

who loves bridging cutting‑edge technology with real‑world manufacturing. In this role, you’ll become a go‑to expert for Delta Sigma’s projection‑based systems—working directly with customers to deploy, configure, and optimize solutions on the factory floor.

If you enjoy blending engineering data, customer interaction, and problem‑solving in a fast‑moving environment, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own Customer Deployments:

Lead technical implementations from kickoff to go‑live, ensuring seamless integration with customer engineering data and workflows.

Translate Engineering Data into Action:

Convert wire harness designs, BOMs, and schematics into dynamic, projection‑ready instructions using internal configuration tools.

Support Sales & Demos:

Partner with sales to deliver compelling technical demos that show customers how MR transforms manufacturing efficiency.

Train & Empower Users:

Deliver hands‑on training for engineers and operators—ensuring confidence in both hardware and software.

Solve Real Problems:

Troubleshoot hardware alignment, data issues, and system performance—both remotely and on‑site.

Influence the Product:

Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights with product and engineering teams to shape future enhancements.

Precision Hardware Setup:

Assist with calibration and alignment of projection systems requiring extreme accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar)

3+ years in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial technology environment

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wire lists, and BOMs

Experience working with structured data (Excel, CSV, XML, etc.)

Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable explaining technical concepts to non‑technical users

Willingness to travel to customer sites (approx. 25–40%)

⭐ Nice‑to‑Have Experience

Wire harness design or assembly exposure

ECAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3, Capital, or similar)

Basic scripting or automation experience (Python, VBA, etc.)

Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards

Interest in AR/MR or Industry 4.0 technologies

Why You’ll Love This Role

Work at the intersection of

manufacturing + mixed reality

See your work directly improve production quality and efficiency

Collaborate with leading aerospace and industrial manufacturers

Join a team building technology that’s actually used—not just prototyped
