Senior Mechanical Engineer Compensation • The pay for this position is $100,000 – $120,000 per year • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment • Annual bonus: 10% target • 401(k) with company match available for full-time employees after 1 year Senior Mechanical Engineer Highlights • This is a backfill position • Approximately 80% of time is on the production floor, 10% at a desk, 10% in meetings • Work environment includes high temperatures, high noise levels (hearing protection required), and moving equipment Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities • Provide mechanical expertise across plant operations • Lead continuous improvement and corrective action projects • Provide technical support to internal customers • Manage projects including new machine installations and upgrades ($50K – $5M) • Analyze project requirements and engineering challenges to ensure solutions are accurate, timely, and within budget • Oversee workflow and coordinate internal and external resources for on-time delivery • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance • Evaluate performance of existing systems and recommend enhancements • Serve as mechanical lead through all project phases: design, fabrication, implementation, testing (FAT), commissioning, and daily operation • Develop and manage engineering drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault • Work closely with vendors and manage external contractors on installations • Conduct project/equipment risk assessments and implement safety measures Senior Mechanical Engineer Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Inventor) • Strong understanding of hydraulic and conveying systems • Experience working with cross-functional teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work in a high-output environment Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience in manufacturing machine design • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor software • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills If this Senior Mechanical Engineer position aligns with your experience and career goals, please reach out directly to Austin Faris by phone or email to apply.
