Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking an IT Asset Management (Hardware) Analyst as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR).

Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance the missions of the National Laboratory of the Rockies located in Golden, CO. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction from technical personnel employed directly by the research laboratory. Pay, benefits, Human Resource, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.

Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre‑employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.

This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Golden, CO.

Responsibilities

Hardware Asset Management

Conduct physical stockroom inventories.

Investigate and reconcile inventory shortages and discrepancies.

Move inventory between stockrooms and locations.

Assist in the inventory and management of the IT vending machine.

Manage hardware and consumable assets in ServiceNow stockrooms.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with the IT Service Desk and Desktop Support teams to ensure their stockrooms have adequate inventory.

Collaborate with the Property Management team to locate tagged equipment, update inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between asset management systems.

Queue Management

Monitor IT Asset Management queue and provide updates to requesters, as appropriate.

Identify and fulfill “Tier 1” requests/tasks.

Other project tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1 year Hardware Asset and Inventory Management experience.

Knowledge of and familiarity with major hardware OEMs, vendors and model.

Ability to effectively work in a hybrid collaborative team environment.

Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Customer service experience and commitment to customer service and support.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Initiative to anticipate issues and provide insight into solutions.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage projects in parallel with daily tasks.

Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency and accuracy, in a fast‑paced team environment.

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Must be able to obtain NLR site security access.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and HAM/ITAM functionality

General technical knowledge and experience

Special Requirements

Pre‑employment Drug Screen - External applicants selected for this position are required to successfully complete a postoffer, pre‑employment drug test.

Medical Exam(s) - Job related pre‑placement medical examinations may be required for this position.

This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy. If determined as such, this position would be identified as a Workplace Substance Abuse Program (WSAP) testing designated position. WSAP positions require participation in an ongoing random drug testing program in addition to the pre‑employment drug screen.

Pay Range $33.00 per hour

Health & Welfare $5.09 per hour
