GENERAL DESCRIPTION Performs advanced (senior‑level) HVAC mechanic work. Employees हुँ may perform the full range of work and may provide guidance to other HVAC mechanics and/or coordinate or oversee HVAC projects.
Work involves coordinating the installation, repairs, and overhaul of HVAC equipment and systems based on work orders and preventative maintenance activities.
Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Performs maintenance on HVAC equipment and systems.
Observes and performs periodic inspections to ensure efficiency of HVAC systems.
Checks performance of thermostats, automatic controls, and pressure gauges.
Cleans, services, oils, and adjusts equipment; tightens fittings; aligns and repacks pumps; replaces belts; changes and cleans filters.
Replaces defective compressors, cleans and recharges systems, and repairs motors and thermostats.
Coordinates parts and material requirements with supply room or warehouse.
Overhauls and services HVAC equipment.
Overhauls and services air arbitatic compressors and pumps associated with HVAC equipment and systems.
Repairs and replaces wornSemana or broken parts on condensers, compressors, and water & vacuum pumps.
Repairs or adjusts valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings.
Tests equipment for refrigerant leak, charging, and metering device issues.
Removes and installs motors, thermostats, and humidistats.
Adjusts expansion valves and adds gas FAB
Checks gauges and performs preventive maintenance work.
Maintains records and prepares reports on repairs and services to equipment.
