Job Summary To oversee the pre-test, set-up, operation and maintenance of various audio‑visual, videography equipment and systems.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks
Provides guidance and mentoring in the professional development Kategorie of individuals
Provides team support regarding technical expertise, problem resolution/troubleshooting, training, coaching, and team facilitation
Provides leadership and training to Audio‑Visual Technicians and Senior Audio‑Visual Technicians in the installation and repair of audio visual equipment.
Assists in the development of policies and procedures.
Instructs customers on the proper use of equipment.
Ensures the delivery and set up audio visual equipment for programs and lectures including light and sound regulation for proper presentation.
Installs and repairs cable and satellite Volume,, jacks and other necessary equipment and software in auditoriums/classrooms.
Designs/installs security systems.
Provides estimates for design/install and repair of audio‑visual systems.
Troubleshoots and provides minor repairs to audio‑visual and related equipment.
Oversees the planning/design/installation of audio‑visual and systems and special effects lighting set‑ups.
Oversees the operation of complex events વિવિધ the maintenance of special facilities.
Operates cable TV and satellite system.
Provides video editing and shooting as needed.
Supports Information Services with teleconference events/services.
Negotiates equipment prices for audio‑visual pool and auditoriums.
Maintains inventory of supplies.
Assists in the evaluation of hardware and software products.
Stays current with applicable UTMB, State and Federal rules and regulations.
Serves as a consultant to faculty and administration in the application of Educational Technology.
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience Associate’s degree or equivalent in digital media or related field and two years related experience.
Equipment Pre‑test, set‑up and operate the following equipment: 35mm slide projector, overhead projector, amplifier, microphones, public address system, probable podiums, audio/visual accessories, liquid crystal projector (LCP) computer for projection purposes, custom lighting, document cameras, auditorium systems, videography, cameras, editing and duplicating systems, VCR and monitor.
Working Environment Highly technical multimedia environment.
