Position Summary As the Senior Sales Account Manager - Retail, you will play a crucial role in the growth and development of partnerships with our existing customers. Your responsibilities include maintaining current points of distribution while expanding our product assortment by identifying and onboarding new areas of growth. You must understand Refresco’s capabilities and capacities and develop strategies that align with our business objectives and customers’ volume potential. Your success will be measured dispensably through topline growth targets, profit maximization, and operational and distribution synergies.
Essential Job Functions Account Management
Work as part of a highly motivated, dynamic sales team to drive the organization’s sales initiatives.
Serve as primary customer contact for technical and business issues related to assigned or potential customers.
Develop a ‘hit list’ of potential innovative products that meet strategic capacity needs.
Capture and share critical data with the broader retail sales team.
Coordinate onboarding for new items or expanded categories with internal functions.
Validate supply‑chain processes and ensure proper inventory strategies.
Collaborate with demand‑planning and CPFR teams on forecast validation.
Provide ongoing analysis of customer performance against prior year, plan, and forecast.
Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales projections and the annual budget.
Review KPIs and recommend feedback or corrective actions.
Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.
Research sources for prospective customers and gather critical information.
Develop customer supply agreements, understanding legal terminology.
Coordinate sales activities with marketing, finance, operations, logistics and technical services.
Expedite resolution of customer problems.
Help develop a competitive landscape summary to uncover advantages and gaps.
Analyze shipment data and develop planning strategies.
Identify market trends within the total category.
Maintain positive relationships with customers to gain trust.
Lead budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis.
Provide oral and written reports on customer needs, interests, and opportunities.
Required Skills and Competencies
Outstanding sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent problem‑solving ability and results‑orientation.
Independent and team player with excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational, time‑management and project‑management skills.
Curiosity and ability to analyze financial information (costing, operations, P&L, forecasting).
Willingness to travel for on‑site դր advice; travel averages 25‑40% of the time and may exceed 50%.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
