The Packaging Graphic Design Specialist will specialize in creating innovative, production-ready packaging designs that align with brand standards and meet customer requirements. This role focuses on the visual design for corrugated, POP displays, flexible films, and custom packaging solutions, ensuring accuracy for print and manufacturing processes.
Shorr Packaging does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this position.
The targeted compensation for this position is between $70K-$80K base plus targeted bonus, depending on skills and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities
Create high-quality graphics for packaging samples and full-scale production
Use knowledge of current graphic design software along with vendor appropriate equipment requirements to produce graphic art for various packaging applications
Receive files from sales and/or customers and ensure that provided art matches supplied structure and is production ready for the specific printing application
Prepare accurate, press-ready files for flexographic, lithographic and digital printing processes
Manage color profiles, separations, bleeds, and resolution to ensure flawless output
Collaborate with internal design centers to verify proofs and maintain color consistency
Produce 3D renderings and mockups for customer presentations and reviews
Work closely with sales and corrugated designers to translate customer requirements into design solutions
Participate in kick-off meetings and provide design input on timelines and feasibility.
Maintain organized project files and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, with three or more years of relevant packaging design experience
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a key focus on Illustrator
Experience with CAD software, ArtiosCAD or similar preferred
Experience with 3D rendering tools
Familiarity with large-format and flatbed printing equipment preferred
Strong understanding of preufact processes including preflight of color management, separations, imposition, and proofing
Understanding of flexographic, lithographic, and digital print processes
Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance creative and technicalAwesome requirements
Strong time management and communication skills
