Leasing Specialist
Location: New York, NY 10035 Schedule: TuesdaySaturday | 9:00 AM6:00 PM (On-site) Pay Rate: $29$30/hour Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking an experienced Leasing Specialist to join a vibrant 404-unit residential community in East Harlem. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth leasing process for prospective residents while maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll work in a collaborative, business-casual office environment with opportunities for growth in one of the largest apartment rental organizations in the U.S. Responsibilities Ensure all leasing applications are complete and accurate Educate prospects on deposit policies and move-in requirements Determine unit availability and move-in dates Collect deposits and application fees promptly Verify applications and submit paperwork to compliance in a timely manner Enter essential lease details into the system, including: Lease start/end dates Rent amounts and deposits (including pet deposits) Occupant names and contact information Maintain accurate records and follow up with prospects Must-Have Qualifications 4+ years of residential Tax Credit/Affordable Housing (LIHTC) experience Strong knowledge of Rent Stabilization Property management experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Skills Yardi software experience Bilingual (Spanish strongly preferred) Familiarity with Excel and real estate processes Employee Value Proposition Join one of the largest apartment rental organizations in the U.S. Significant opportunities for career growth and upward mobility Competitive pay and benefits package Collaborative, professional work environment Work Environment On-site office setting with leasing and property management team Business casual attire Schedule: TuesdaySaturday, 9:00 AM6:00 PM Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
