You will join a team managing the lifecycle of infrastructure and security, enhancing IBM's cloud solutions to ensure enterprises achieve efficiency, security, and scalability in their cloud journey.

Your Role And Responsibilities As a Senior Product Designer for Waypoint, you’ll help us maintain a focus on user experience across Waypoint and identify strategic opportunities for improvement and integration with Terraform. You’ll work with your cross‑functional peers to drive awareness and prioritize initiatives to improve the user experience measurably. You’ll contribute to product strategy and vision discussions and help drive alignment through the work of the team.

You’ll discover and specify strategic opportunities for improvement through generative research. You’ll inform product strategy, shape product design vision and direction and drive alignment across the team, and conduct evaluative research to recommend the best path forward.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross‑functional teams to envision innovative workflows for provisioning and delivering infrastructure over multiple public and private clouds, and improve the user experience measurably.

You will craft usable, useful, valuable, accessible, and delightful experiences for platform engineering teams, developers, and their organizations. You’ll guide, mentor, and collaborate with product designers across the team to ensure alignment.

About IBM’s Automation/HashiCorp Design Team We build the Infrastructure Cloud which allows enterprises to take a unified approach to Infrastructureض Lifecycle Management (ILM): Build / Deploy / Manage.

Terraform allows you to use infrastructure as code to provision and manage any infrastructure across your organization.

Packer standardizes image workflows across cloud providers, allowing teams to build, govern and manage any image for any cloud.

Waypoint makes infrastructure easily accessible at scale, enabling platform teams to deliver golden patterns and workflows with an internal developer platform.

Nomad brings modern application scheduling to any type of software, allowing you to manage containers, binaries and VMs efficiently in the cloud, on‑premises and across edge environments.

Vagrant isolates dependencies and their configuration within a single disposable and consistent development environment.

About Waypoint HCP Waypoint is designed to enable platform teams to define golden patterns and workflows for developers to manage applications at scale. Waypoint and HCP Terraform work collaboratively to let developers quickly set up their apps' infrastructure with just a button press. The goal of Waypoint is to help platform teams provide a clear and consistent developer experience for their development teams while providing a central catalog of applications, day‑2+ operations, and their associated metadata.
