Crib Attendant
We are a quality-driven manufacturing company committed to precision, reliability, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a Crib Attendant who will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the tool crib to provide supplies for lean manufacturing production. This will include establishing and maintaining appropriate stock levels, verifying the quality of the product coming into the crib and working on projects to reduce costs. What You'll Do: Establishes minimum inventory levels based on knowledge of vendor performance, company needs and market conditions. Routinely analyzes inventory levels and usage to determine timing of purchases. Prepares purchase orders to replenish crib stocks and obtains the appropriate approvals. Communicates with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, and cost. Reviews written requisitions submitted to the crib for completeness and accuracy. Identify, monitor, and communicate items stocked in tool vending machines. Meets with employees making requisition to clarify specifications, performance criteria, and delivery. Forwards requisitions to the appropriate department head for approval. Maintains records on the computer concerning current and past vendor performance. Ensures that the proper receiving inspection is being performed on all items entering the crib. Ensures that the only items coming into the crib have a purchase order. Inspects incoming tools to prints. Monitor item usage by part #, employee and machine #. Report any abnormal consumption to Supervisors and Engineering. Create custom usage reports as requested by GM, Engineering and Supervisors. What You Bring: Associates degree or equivalent, or experience in an industrial environment. Computer literacy required, including experience with Windows-based applications, Excel proficiency is essential. Solid organizational and communication skills required.
