HVAC Service Sales Representative

As an HVAC Service Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in driving the growth, strength, and long-term success of our HVAC Service business. You will serve as a trusted partner to prospective customersinitiating relationships, identifying their needs, and positioning Johnson Controls as their service provider of choice. Working within an assigned geographic territory and as part of a supportive local branch team, you'll focus on building lasting partnerships by promoting renewable maintenance agreements, emphasizing solutions that deliver comfort, safety, efficiency, and sustainability. This role is energetic, people-focused, and essential to expanding our reach within the market. You will leverage our sales tools to plan your activities, track opportunities, and help move deals to close each monthcontributing directly to branch success and customer satisfaction. How You Will Do It

Follow a disciplined, professional sales process to identify, qualify, and target prospective customers. Utilize market insights, networking activities, and referral building to uncover new leads and establish a strong pipeline. Engage prospects through calls, visits, and scheduled appointments to understand their facility needs and pain points. Conduct discovery conversations with Facility Directors and other key stakeholders to identify challenges related to HVAC systems, controls, ventilation, and ongoing maintenance. Demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and position Johnson Controls as the trusted, knowledgeable partner for long-term service success. Present tailored solutions with an emphasis on maintenance agreements, digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization. Prepare, review, and finalize proposals while securing customer commitment to Johnson Controls solutions. Lead customer kick-off meetings, support issue resolution, and proactively identify pull-through opportunities. Maintain and extend service agreements while supporting the collections process when needed. Keep management informed on progress using Salesforce.com and other JCI toolsknowing when to seek coaching or assistance to keep deals moving. Develop and implement territory marketing plans aligned with the Johnson Controls Building Solutions strategy. Represent JCI at trade shows, participate in industry organizations, and serve as an ambassador for the Johnson Controls brand. Conduct all business with the highest standards of quality, professionalism, integrity, and pride. What We Look For

Required

23 years of progressive sales experience. Preferred

Strong aptitude for technical concepts and high attention to detail. Excellent presentation and communication skillscapable of engaging both individuals and groups. Experience selling service-based or intangible offerings. Exposure to structured sales methodologies, processes, and performance disciplines. Bonus Qualifications

Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems. Experience working in Salesforce.com. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $61k-92k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
