Sr. Associate, Marketing Strategist | Retail Bank (In-App Marketing)
We are looking for a creative and analytical Senior Associate – In-App Marketing Specialist to support the Retail Bank's marketing efforts in our Capital One app(s). This role is critical to the success of our channel strategy team and will be a part of the rapidly growing Bank Marketing organization.
Within this role, you will own the development of in-app marketing campaigns to cross‑sell new products, drive new account generation, and deepen customer engagement. Additionally, you will be responsible for the monitoring and optimization of campaign performance while also contributing to the development of the overarching channel strategy and roadmap.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator who is able to be successful in an environment that requires both cross‑functional collaboration and the ability to work independently after receiving guidance. The candidate should have experience with performance marketing, understanding what it takes to develop data‑backed marketing intent, drive impactful creative development, and build effective test‑&‑learn agendas. A candidate that thrives in white space and possesses a high learning agility will do best in this role.
This is a hybrid role, located in New York (NY), Wilmington (DE), McLean (VA), Richmond (VA), or Riverwoods (IL).
Responsibilities
Own the development of in‑app marketing campaigns
Support the development of overarching marketing strategy and roadmapping for specific products within the channel
Lead the creative development of in‑app marketing creative tied to marketing campaigns (supporting the briefing/guiding of the internal brand creative team)
Support the building of audience strategies in SFMC
Partner cross‑functionally with technical teams, building the technical and audience guardrails specific to each campaign
Collaborate within bank marketing to design thoughtful campaigns that span channels and drive larger customer impact
Continuously monitor campaign performance and identify/execute opportunities for in‑flight enhancements
Define testing strategies that help drive business growth, and determine effective optimization around the most successful tactics
Manage stakeholder communications and expectations throughout the campaign lifecycle

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or military experience
At least 2 years experience in performance marketing
At least 2 years driving creative strategy (briefing, agency management, etc)
At least 2 years experience partnering with technical and/or analysts
Knowledge of/ has worked in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Customer Data Platforms, or marketing automation
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
3+ years of marketing journey orchestration experience

New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Wilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
