The Niles‑Maine District Library is seeking a creative Graphic Design & Multi‑Media Assistant to support the library's visual presence in the community. Under the supervision of the Community Engagement & Marketing Supervisor, you will ensure consistency across visual materials to support the library’s brand. The Graphic Designer will… Acts as primary designer for the Library’s print newsletter. Design print and digital materials including posters, displays, and graphics for the website and social media. Create graphics for marketing campaigns including Summer Reading programs. Maintain and evolve the library’s visual brand identity across all channels. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and library departments to design and produce engaging marketing materials that promote library programs, services, and events. Establish and maintain graphic guidelines and templates to ensure brand consistency. Capture high‑quality photographs of library programs, events, and facilities for promotional and marketing purposes. Train staff on visual standards and style guide. Maintain relationships with external printing vendors. Requirements: Associate or Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia arts, marketing, communications, or related field. 1‑3 years of graphic design or marketing support experience. Coursework or certification in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) and familiarity with marketing standards, branding standards, and accessibility guidelines. Uphold accessibility standards in design, including considerations for readability, color contrast, and inclusive representation. Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Photography and videography skills.
