Description
Position Summary This position is to provide solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, and remotely, on bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines. Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain current customer business, while developing and strengthening customer relationships that result in customer loyalty and positive referrals. Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure customers receive prompt, accurate and professional support to further their business needs. The Field Application Specialist I promotes teamwork and cooperation, removes barriers to productivity, and creates an enthusiastic, positive work environment.
Primary Duties
Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base.
Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers.
Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMérieux’s CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams.
Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives.
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, technical or life science field.
MLS (ASCP) Certification Preferred
Work experience will not be accepted in lieu of a degree
Experience
2+ years of clinical laboratory experience or equivalent. bioMérieux product experience preferred.
Experience with CLIA regulations and/or other laboratory credentialing standards preferred.
Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.
Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
