Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities The job of a cocktail server is to provide alcoholic beverages to customers at a lounge, nightclub, or bar. Cocktail servers frequently take orders from customers, deliver drinks and food, participate in special events, and make suggestions to customers. They may also clean and stock beverage service stations, collect dirty cups, and report noticeably intoxicated guests to supervisors. In some cases, a cocktail server may also focus on promoting the venue, itemizing bills, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will have had experience in high volume dining/bartending, will have knowledge of mixology, and has great communication skills.
Prepares and/or serves beverages following standard practices and recipes
Maintains cleanliness and safety of work and guest areas
Maintains par levels of operating supplies and equipment, replenishing as needed in accordance with procedures
Monitors guest consumption of alcohol, intervening as needed according to established practices
Operates the POS system in accordance with established procedures
Coordinates beverage service to maintain an efficient service flow
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to maintain HCA identified responsible alcohol service certification
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including calculating discounts, interest, and commissions and apply to practical situations
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs
