Role Overview Clark Wood is recruiting a Personal Tax Manager to join a well-established firm in Norwich. The role manages a portfolio of personal tax clients across Norfolk and Suffolk, focusing on complex compliance and advisory work for high‑net‑worth individuals. The firm has a strong client base within the medical sector and offers the opportunity to further develop expertise advising doctors, consultants and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a personal tax client portfolio, delivering complex compliance and advisory work.
Advise high‑net‑worth individuals on personal tax matters, including residence and domicile.
Provide tailored tax planning advice to medical professionals, advising on NHS pension schemes, income structures and allowable expenses.
Manage work in progress, fee quotes and billing for allocated clients.
Review work prepared by trainees and support their development.
Work closely with Tax Managers, the Director of Private Client Services and Partners on planning projects.
Ideal Candidate
CTA and/or ACA / ACCA qualification.
At least 5 years’ experience in personal tax within practice.
Experience dealing with complex personal tax compliance and advisory work.
Experience reviewing the work of trainees or junior staff.
