Key Responsibilities
Sustainability Strategy & Planning
Design, execute, and oversee sustainability initiatives for current residential communities and future developments.
Ensure all strategies align with global, national, and regional sustainability standards and regulations.
Project Management
Lead sustainability-focused projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Work with both internal and external teams to meet sustainability objectives.
Sustainability Advisory
Provide guidance to internal departments, developers, and community stakeholders on sustainable construction, energy and water efficiency, waste reduction, and climate resilience.
Assessments & Reporting
Conduct sustainability evaluations on residential developments to identify improvement areas.
Develop and deliver sustainability performance reports, metrics, and updates for leadership and stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance & Certification
Guide certification processes for new and existing developments.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and support the achievement of sustainability certifications.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate across departments and with industry professionals to integrate sustainability measures.
Foster community involvement and promote awareness of sustainable living practices.
Innovation & Research
Monitor and explore emerging sustainability trends and technologies.
Identify opportunities for innovation and introduce new sustainable solutions to residential projects.
Training & Development
Assist in developing training materials and programs to promote understanding and implementation of sustainability principles.
Build internal expertise to integrate sustainability across the organization.
Experience & Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Experience
At least 7 years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, climate change, or circular economy roles.
In-depth knowledge of sustainable design, green certifications, environmental laws, energy efficiency, and climate adaptation in residential/urban planning.
Familiar with GRI reporting standards and the UN SDGs.
Experience with national sustainability strategies and frameworks.
Knowledge of CSR, circular economy, and innovative sustainable business models is beneficial.
Understanding of material efficiency, carbon accounting, and the waste sector is preferred.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Sustainability, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Membership in a recognized professional sustainability or environmental body is advantageous.
