About the role Peabody Energy is on the lookout for a driven Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in the Brisbane Corporate Office, where you’ll play a key role. across Australian tax compliance, reporting, administration and planning. Reporting to the Senior Manager Tax Compliance, you’ll step into a collaborative, high ‑ performing team that thrives on accuracy, continuous improvement and proactive problem ‑ solving. Key responsibilities
Support the accurate preparation and timely lodgement of returns (direct and indirect taxes) and other statutory lodgements as required.
Prepare tax workings and disclosure notes for Australian statutory financial statements.
Assist with monthly and quarterly tax provision calculations.
Support tax review of business processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, leasing arrangements, and fixed asset management.
Provide support on ad hoc tax projects and initiatives as required.
About you
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance or Tax
1-2 years' experience in corporate tax (experience within the mining industry or a large/global corporate environment will be highly regarded)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business
High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (SAP experience advantageous)
