Director, HCP Marketing – Asundexian Director of Marketing, Asundexian Bayer is committed to delivering Health for All by advancing a portfolio of innovative treatments. The company has the passion and determination to develop and commercialize medicines that help improve patients’ lives. One of our key late-stage pipeline assets, Asundexian, is an oral Factor XIa inhibitor (anti-thrombotic), being developed as a potential treatment for secondary stroke prevention in patients who have experienced a non-cardio-embolic ischemic stroke.

The Director of Marketing, Asundexian will assist in developing brand strategy, defining quarterly priorities while leading the execution of HCP marketing campaigns, sales messaging and field promotional resources that make an impact. This role will support the team in a wide range of marketing initiatives, flexing as needed to support peer‑to‑peer, digital, and conferences. The position will collaborate across customer engagement, medical, and market access and requires excellent skills in communication, cross‑functional leadership, and influencing without authority. The position requires a high degree of project ownership and accountability while managing multiple workstreams.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the development of brand strategy and launch planning, lead implementation and execution of brand strategy, and operational plans for marketing strategy;

Partner with Learning and Development, Area General Managers, and regional sales teams on the development and implementation of effective training, upskilling, and launch preparation;

In alignment with brand strategy, lead the development of content needed for field execution excellence and POA content in collaboration with L&D;

Support the product team in managing the development, execution, and tracking of peer‑to‑peer marketing initiatives, speaker programs, and KOL/DOL engagements in partnership with the medical team;

Lead agencies and support the product team in driving the strategy and execution of conferences, including booth development, product theaters, media, and promotional support;

Identify key metrics and ensure timely measurement/data reporting of tactics;

Use market research and analytics to ensure data‑driven decision making in support of strategy;

Continuously identify opportunities to shift appropriate work to in‑house and low complexity agencies across all initiatives;

Partner closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance to drive innovation and execution of brand tactics efficiently and compliantly.

WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with generally 5+ years of progressive healthcare/pharma experience in marketing or relevant roles; cardiovascular and/or neurology experience a plus;

2+ years marketing experience required;

Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders on the overall marketing strategy and execution;

Demonstrated storytelling competency in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Demonstrated ability to present complex issues to higher‑level management and contribute to high‑level presentations and discussions;

Willingness and ability to travel (20%).

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Business Administration (MBA) not required but preferred;

Sales or sales training experience preferred;

Experience working through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory review process preferred.

Compensation and Benefits Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $175,360 - $263,040. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.

This role is eligible for an enhanced employee referral bonus.
