Senior 2D Game Animator
to join YSR Studio and support our partner studios. YSR Studio works with mobile game teams to strengthen visual quality and bring characters, environments, and interfaces to life. In this role, you will collaborate closely with artists, designers, and developers to create high-quality animations that enhance gameplay, clarity, and player delight. This is a hands-on role. Your Role at YSR Studio
As a Senior 2D Game Animator, you are a creative specialist embedded within one or more partner teams. You bring characters and game elements to life through motion. You use animation to communicate feedback, emotion, and intent. You work across different visual styles and animation needs. You adapt quickly while maintaining consistency and quality. You collaborate closely with Game Design, Art, UX, and Engineering to ensure animations feel responsive, readable, and technically sound. You improve pipelines and workflows where needed. What You’ll Do
Create high-quality 2D animations for characters, UI, VFX, and gameplay elements Animate for clarity, feedback, and player engagement Collaborate with designers and artists to support gameplay intent Work with engineers to ensure smooth in-game implementation Adapt animations to different styles, themes, and technical constraints Optimize animations for performance and mobile constraints Provide feedback and support to other animators when needed Contribute to animation guidelines and best practices Support iteration based on playtests, feedback, and data Skills to Create Impact
Senior-level experience as a 2D Game Animator in mobile games Strong understanding of animation principles and timing Experience animating characters, UI, and gameplay elements Proficiency with relevant animation tools (Spine, After Effects, Unity animation tools, or equivalent) Ability to adapt quickly to different visual styles Strong sense of motion, weight, and visual storytelling Experience working closely with designers and engineers Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative production environments Organized, proactive, and self-driven Clear communication and strong collaboration skills Candidates must include a portfolio or reel showcasing: 2D character animations Gameplay and UI animations Examples of in-game implementation A range of styles and animation types Any additional relevant mobile game animation work About YSR Studio
