Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive to promote and grow sales across assigned accounts within a specified channel and territory. This role is responsible for managing existing customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and driving revenue through strategic account management, product expertise, and strong client partnerships. The ideal candidate is consultative, data-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class service and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Account Management Promote sales of assigned product lines to existing and new accounts within designated channels and territories Identify, validate, and pursue new sales opportunities to consistently meet or exceed assigned sales goals Maintain deep familiarity with assigned accounts, including buying patterns, organizational structure, and growth opportunities Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnerships
Customer Consulting & Strategy Consult with accounts on merchandising strategies, product assortment, promotional opportunities, and market trends Determine customer needs by analyzing demographics, past purchases, SKU performance, sales trends, and customer business goals Provide inventory opportunities and recommendations to drive incremental sales and improve sell-through
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Development, Design, and Merchandising teams in an organized and strategic business manner Partner with Production to ensure order accuracy, proper placement, and on-time shipments Coordinate with Customer Service to handle customer requests efficiently and elevate larger service issues to sales management as needed
Order Management & Reporting Handle order entry and assist with resolving credit issues when necessary Provide timely, accurate, and consistent sales reports as requested by management Track and communicate key account updates, opportunities, and risks
Market & Industry Engagement Stay current on marketplace trends, retailer needs, and competitive activity to support new business development Participate in industry trade shows and regional or corporate events to build relationships and generate new business
Qualifications Minimum of three years of outside sales experience with retail accounts and a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals Experience in Home Décor or related product categories is a strong plus Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills Strong time management, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities Demonstrated ability to analyze data, understand trends, and apply insights to account growth strategies Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), email, internet applications, presentations, and order entry systems Ability to work from a home office with reliable transportation
Travel & Physical Requirements Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time to customer sites, trade shows, and regional or corporate events Light physical effort, including frequent lifting or moving of product samples
