Overview
Highland Golf & Country Club is a 106 year-old, member-owned, private club located in the heart of the Indianapolis northside. The Willie Park Jr./Bill Diddel designed golf course has hosted numerous local, regional, and even national championships since it's conception. Currently, the club has 400 golf members (capped) and plays over 22,000 rounds annually.
Highland enjoys a very family-oriented culture, whereas all staff members are focused on providing a sincere welcoming & upbeat environment to all of our golfers no matter of age, ability, sex, etc. In 2017 the club built a 9,400 sq. ft. golf academy which includes multiple trackman units, simulator golf, and a state-of-the-art teaching facility that is used heavily year-round.
The successful candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment, and possess the ability to multi-task job duties while also keeping focused on the member experience at all times.
Experience Required PGA Associate or PGM Graduate Prefferred
Essential Responsibilities This service-oriented position will play an important role in overall daily golf experience in a variety of ways:
As a "non tee-time culture" this position will spend time in our play coordinator position which exists to organize play, greet golfers when teeing off, manage pace of play, manage the tee sheet, etc.
Provide an enjoyable, upbeat environment in the golf shop.
Assistant in the execution multiple annual non-member large outings.
Oversee operational cleanliness and appearance.
Teach individual lessons and group clinics.
Assist in the organization and execution of the junior golf program.
Manage cart fleet maintenance schedule.
Play golf with all segments of the membership.
Assistant Professional will be evaluated on the following criteria:
