Position Overview The Home Equity Processor-Bilingual plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional member experience through the precise and timely processing of Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) loans. The processor verifies borrower income, orders services such as appraisals and title work, manages supporting documents, and ensures all files meet quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance before closing. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential for communicating with members and third‑party vendors.
Major Duties and Essential Functions
Deliver exceptional service to internal and external members in alignment with the company mission and values.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of HELOC loan files.
Communicate professionally via phone, email, and in person in both English and Spanish.
Review and process support documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and manage loan files, ensuring timely receipt of all required documents and disclosures.
Initiate and follow up on third‑party services such as title orders, appraisals, flood certifications, and payoff requests.
Perform final reviews of loan files prior to closing to ensure accuracy and readiness.
Enter and maintain accurate loan activity records in loan systems and spreadsheets.
Handle re‑disclosures and ensure timely delivery and acknowledgment by members.
Provide expert guidance and answers to HELOC related inquiries from members and staff.
Assist in loan processing and funding as necessary to meet departmental goals.
Keep work area organized and complete daily assignments with attention to detail.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Equity Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong proficiency in time management, multitasking, and high‑volume loan processing.
Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering error‑free work.
Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Active MLO registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (SAFE Act).
Maintain valid Notary registration.

Education: High school diploma or GED plus two years of experience in loan processing or funding analysis.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of similar or related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer literacy (personal computer, printer, calculator, telephone system).
Experience with CRM, Episys, DocuSign, fax machine/scanner.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Ability to navigate third‑party websites and use call management systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of performance.
