
Overview
Position Summary:
A HELOC Processor ensures timely and accurate processing of all HELOC Loans. Works collaboratively with Underwriters, Loan Consultants and Branch Staff to obtain all necessary documentation to clear underwriting conditions. Demonstrates service by maintaining knowledge of all products, services, organizational policies and procedures. Performs a variety of services for both internal and external members and lending functions via telephone, e-mail and internet. Must be able to work before or after hours, Saturdays and Holidays for meetings/training or as workload requires. Must participate in training annually or as required for BSA and the Privacy Act.
Key Responsibilities
Member Service & Communication: Provides prompt, friendly and accurate service to internal and external members; Delivers professional and efficient loan services focusing on individual needs; Identifies and offers products and services that will improve our member’s financial life; Perform member maintenance as required
Loan Processing & Underwriting: Review and analyze application to obtain all supporting documentation needed to satisfy underwriting conditions; Provide accurate and timely processing of loan applications in accordance with lending policies including homeowners’ insurance requirements and deductible limits; Be knowledgeable in the preparation of Home Equity loan closing documents, funding requirements and Achieva lending guidelines; Obtain payoffs and cut checks as required to meet funding conditions; Maintain detailed notes in LOS; Ensure all compliance documentation is uploaded into OnBase
Title & Closing Coordination: Work closely with title companies and analyze title reports and O&Es to clear title requirements to perfect lien; Record loan documents in the proper county; Confirm and schedule closings and funding, coordinate signing of documents; Prepares loan documentation and closes files electronically
Systems & Process Improvement: System testing and validations as needed for break/fixes, upgrades, enhancements requests; Participate in Department and Corporate level projects as needed; Effectively communicate system issues, requested enhancements and provide suggestions on ways to continually improve processes
Performance & Goal Achievement: Meet/exceed assigned production goals by managing pipeline efficiently and review daily to ensure that loans are moving forward; Accountable for meeting production and sales goals
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years experience in a financial institution
1-2 years sales experience
3-5 years with consumer loans, home equity or mortgage processing

Ability to identify and solve problems
Ability to work closely with title companies and analyze title reports and O&Es
Exceptional communication skills
Knowledgeable in the preparation of home equity loan closing documents and funding requirements
Intermediate computer skills including with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Organized with high attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work at a moderate to rapid pace
Ability to work independently and collaborate when needed
