Job Overview Job Title: Creative Designer - Marketing

Location: On-Site

Reports To: Marketing Director

Job Description:

International Flooring Company is seeking a highly capable, well rounded Creative Designer to join our growing marketing team. This role is ideal for a designer who is confident in execution and equally interested in contributing creative thinking beyond day to day production work.

The Creative Designer will work closely with the Marketing Director to help bring the brand vision to life through thoughtful design, creative problem solving, and collaborative ideation. While this position includes hands on production design, especially during certain seasons within a lean, fast-paced environment, it also offers meaningful opportunities to contribute to campaign development, branding initiatives, and strategic marketing concepts through strong visual storytelling.

As a growing company, priorities shift throughout the year. There will be periods where this role leans more heavily into foundational and production design work, followed by periods that allow for higher level creative thinking, ideation, and campaign development. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across this spectrum and understands that strong execution creates the foundation for more strategic creative opportunities.

This role is best suited for a designer who understands how design supports business goals, enjoys ownership, and is excited to grow alongside a developing brand.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Collaboration and Ideation

Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director to execute and evolve the brand’s creative vision together.

Contribute ideas, concepts, and visual approaches for campaigns, programs, and marketing initiatives.

Help challenge and improve creative solutions through thoughtful discussion and problem solving.

Translate marketing objectives into clear and compelling visual and messaging solutions.

Design Execution

Own design work from concept through final production, a wide range including:

Creative marketing campaigns and program builds

Social media creation and ideation for campaigns

Brand and identity assets

Brochures, sales support collateral, and advertising materials

Swag, business cards, and internal production materials

Photography & media management, photoshoot concepts & strategic planning

Adapt designs for various formats, channels, and audiences while maintaining brand consistency.

Balance foundational design tasks with more complex creative projects as business needs evolve.

Marketing, Advertising, and Retail Support

Assist with co-op advertising programs and retailer facing creative needs.

Support retailer relationships and partnerships with requested creative materials.

Assist with strategic concepts for National Advertising campaigns.

Project Ownership and Organization

Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines

Communicate clearly about timelines, priorities, and creative decisions

Maintain organized files, workflows, and version control

Present work confidently and articulate creative rationale when needed

Skills & Experience

Required

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma) and similar design tools.

Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, including layout, typography, and color theory.

An understanding of design for both digital platforms (websites, social media) and print production (brochures, flyers, retail signage).

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams across different functions.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong portfolio showcasing work you personally created

Ability to clearly explain your creative process, decision making, and problem solving

Understanding of print production and working with vendors

Preferred but Not Required

Experience in interior design or product design is an advantage, but not required

A Bachelor of Arts or Associate's degree in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred, but not required. A strong portfolio and talent assessment will be the primary factors in determining qualifications.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

Designers who are confident but not ego driven

Creatives with practical problem solving skills and good instincts

Organized, reliable self starters who take pride in ownership

Designers excited by variety, responsibility, and growth

People who care as much about why something works as how it looks

Why This Role Is Different This is not a job where you will simply take orders and execute tasks. You will be trusted to own your work, contribute ideas, and help elevate the brand, while also understanding that sometimes great design starts with doing the fundamentals extremely well.

If you are a designer ready to grow beyond pure production work but not looking for a creative director title, this role was built with you in mind.
