Job Description: The Patient Services Representative provides high-quality phlebotomy and specimen collection services while delivering excellent patient care in a safe, professional, and confidential environment. This role involves accurate blood collection, proper specimen handling, patient identification verification, and documentation in compliance with established procedures. PSRs may work in physician offices, patient service centers, or multiple locations based on business needs, performing both clinical and forensic collections. The position requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Core Responsibilities Perform safe, accurate venipuncture for paediatric and geriatric patients Prepare, label, and process specimens per SOPs Verify patient identity and specimen labelling post-collection Maintain accurate records and documentation Ensure patient comfort, confidentiality, and safety Maintain a professional and compliant work environment
Requirements 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience Strong clinical and forensic collection skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent customer service and communication Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, on-call, multiple locations) Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy
