Core Hospitality Hires New Sales Manager for Norway
Core Hospitality, a Danish hotel operator, has hired Helene Myre as sales manager for the Norwegian market. She brings experience from a large Norwegian hotel chain and will oversee B2B sales and corporate customer collaboration across Core’s two Norwegian Moxy hotels.
Core has two hotels in Norway: Moxy Bergen and Moxy Tromsø, both part of Marriott’s portfolio.
Core’s owner Peter Haaber recently noted that while the company has only two hotels in Norway, expansion to Oslo, Trondheim and more of Bergen is under consideration.
Helene Myre replaces Jacob Nørby, who was not permanently employed by Core. Up until her recent role at Thon Hotels, where she served as hotel director and managed operations, leadership and commercial development, she had extensive sales‑related experience.
Commenting on the appointment, Core’s commercial director Catharina Hallberg said: “Helene has a rare combination of leadership experience, commercial sharpness and deep industry knowledge. With Helene on the team, we can strengthen cooperation with our corporate customers and accelerate growth in Norway.”
Core Hospitality grew out of Zleep Hotels and has built a portfolio of hotels across various brands and countries, operating independently of individual hotel brands.
