Group Sales Specialist

As a Group Sales Specialist in our Sales division, you will work with a skilled group of professionals dedicated to delivering flawless service to our clients. What you will be doing: Responsible for Group & Corporate sales of assigned region properties. Manage the entire sales process alongside your Hotel Sales Manager, from qualifying prospective leads and inquiries to converting them into definite groups. This includes handling group resumes, rooming lists, advanced deposits, billing, and reconciliation. Assist in building and maintaining exceptional business relationships with guests, clients, and business partners. Maintain professional phone etiquette, provide excellent guest service, and uphold a positive attitude at all times. Communicate effectively with others, both in written and verbal forms. You will need to understand and follow both oral and written directions, applying proper and professional business etiquette. Ensure all communication and documentation channels within the company, including reservation agents, inventory management, revenue, accounting, and resort management, are accurate and complete. Act as a liaison between departments like yield management, guests, and department managers. Coordinate with accounts receivable/payable, tax, and legal to ensure group requirements follow company policies on time. Demonstrate efficient time management, self-awareness, and rigor. Exhibit a strong work ethic with a drive for success, being a loyal great teammate who understands the necessity of an organizational chart. Participate in occasional sales calls and property tours. Show self-initiative to prioritize tasks, resort needs, and guest needs accurately with the flexibility to adapt quickly and meet established deadlines. Determine experienced business and guest solutions to overcome objections. Display strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment while working independently on various projects and forms of communication, ensuring successful results with minimal supervision. Willingly assist with additional territories, tasks, departments, etc, while maintaining a cheerful demeanor and representing Group Sales/Yield Management professionally. Perform administrative duties, establish accounts in the reservation system, and make sure all communication avenues within the company are precise and comprehensive. To fulfill this role optimally, you will have the following minimum qualifications and experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must! Effective communication skills across various platforms. 1-3 years of related experience.
