Inside Sales Representative - Residential
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in supporting customers by providing accurate quotes, processing orders, answering product and logistics questions, and delivering a high level of service throughout the sales cycle. This role combines sales support, technical product knowledge, and light engineering calculations related to garage door applications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working with technical products in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities: Sales Support & Quoting Prepare accurate and timely quotes based on customer requirements, specifications, and application needs Assist customers with product selection and configuration for garage door systems Follow up on quotes to support conversion and customer satisfaction Order Processing Enter and manage customer orders accurately in the ERP/order management system Verify pricing, lead times, product specifications, and shipping details Coordinate with internal teams to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time Product & Technical Support Answer customer questions related to products, applications, and compatibility Perform light engineering tasks such as sizing, load calculations, and basic application reviews for garage door systems Review drawings, measurements, and specifications to ensure proper product selection Logistics & Customer Service Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, lead times, shipping, and delivery Resolve order issues, discrepancies, or changes in a timely and professional manner Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the order lifecycle Internal Collaboration Work closely with outside sales, engineering, production, and logistics teams Communicate customer requirements clearly to internal stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of sales and customer service processes Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Compensation Data Total Starting Pay: $24.03-$30.76/hour + Annual ROA bonus ROA Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon company performance each year, up to 33% of annual salary. Profit-Sharing: 10% of Nucor's pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus. Experience with CRM systems and online communication platforms. Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
