Job Title
Responsible for daily customer service, facility and programming schedule of parks and recreation sites. Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description. Additional compensation based on licensure. Essential Functions
Opens, monitors and secures parks and recreation facilities and readies facility for use during operational hours. Operates computerized reservation system, registers participants, provides information, collects payments, runs reports, maintains user records and verifies quality of data input. Provides assistance to the public regarding park information, rules, policies, procedures and activities. Ensures park facilities and buildings are clean and ready for scheduled programs and activities which may include recreation classes, sports leagues, tournaments, community meetings and special programs. Assists in the development, organization and oversight of Parks and Recreation programs, as well as promotional and marketing materials for programs and events as identified by supervisor. Provides information and data to supervisor and operational/maintenance staff regarding park usage, issues, incidents, programs and safety concerns relevant to park operations. Additional Duties: In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties. Minimum Qualifications
Completion of High School/GED and one year relevant experience in a customer service or park and recreation setting. Associates Degree is desired. Excellent communication and public relations skills along with demonstrated competency in computer usage. Strong desire to excel in the public park setting with entry level organizational skills in planning and execution of programs and activities desired. A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. Additional Requirements
Position reports directly to the Park Supervisor and must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as requested. This position may be full or part-time. The employee in this position is expected to provide excellent customer service delivery inclusive of phone and walk-in customer contact, cash handling/reporting, facility cleanliness, safety and readiness; quality and comprehensive information preparation and dissemination relating to all programs and schedules. All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings. Department Specific trainings per position may be required. Benefits
