The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, featuring high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking. Job Description: The Springs at the Waterfront is seeking a Resident Engagement Assistant to join our new team. Each day we engage our residents in meaningful programing, as they write yet another very important chapter in their life. At The Springs Living, our holistic programs focus on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness: Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, Social, Emotional, Vocational, and Environmental. We live life to its fullest here, and are seeking an individual who is creative, cheerful, optimistic, organized, timely, motivated, and loves to listen and collaborate. The Resident Engagement Assistant reports to the Director of Resident Engagement.

Responsibilities:

Preparation andexecution of engaging entertainment and programming for our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents

Informing residents of daily programs through various mechanisms (including cloud-based platforms)

Planning, coordinating, and assisting with tasteful decoration of the community for special events and holidays

Collaborating with Resident Engagement team members

Engage residents in the development of programing

Make routine visits to residents, being present and engaged within the community

Maintain an upbeat culture of warmth, patience, compassion and joy

Coordinate with Health Services Department in regard to care plans

Collaborate with other departments for event planning

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience in senior living/resort activity programing

Ability to effectively present information to groups of people

Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Maintain current CPR and first aid certification

Ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday

Salary: The Springs Living provides a competitive compensation package for the Resident Engagement Assistant position, with a hourly wage range of $19.00 - $22.00 depending on experience.
