The Textile Designer is responsible for creating unique, colorful, and bohemian-inspired prints, embroideries, yarn-dyes, and jacquards for our clothing collections. The designs and color should reflect the heart and soul of the company - vibrant, carefree, and inspired by vintage, global influences.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the design director and product development teams to create high quality original prints, patterns, and embroideries for seasonal apparel collections. Develop all-over prints, placement prints, embroideries, and jacquards that align and elevate brand aesthetic. Utilize traditional art techniques (i.e. drawing, painting) in tandem with Adobe Creative Suite, to create original and executable artwork, layouts, and colorways Scan and re-work vintage artwork to make it executable for production and re-coloring, Use textile design software NedGraphics to color separate, make on-brand colorway options, and clean artwork to make it executable for production. Create detailed final files for production that will result in highest quality product. Collaborate closely with product development and technical designers to set up engineered prints. Generate CADs to communicate exact placement of artwork on garments and create technical packages for artwork to be sent to vendors and factories. Work closely with technical designers and production teams to ensure that all prints are executed flawlessly on the final product. Review print and embroidery samples when they come in and communicate with the vendor if changes to the artwork need to be made or adjust if they did not execute properly. Utilize Centric (PLM software) to maintain print library, upload artwork, and communicate with vendors. Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, color palettes, and vintage / global design influences, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table. Experience

5+ years of experience in textile/print design, preferably in the fashion industry. Highly proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design software. Experience with NedGraphics (textile design software) is a plus! Strong understanding of repeat patterns, color theory, and fabric types Experience using a PLM software and communicating with vendors Experience with apparel embroidery and embellishment design Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A deep passion for bohemian, free-spirited design Strong communication and collaboration skills.
