Child Welfare Specialist III - OKDHS Only - CSM Facilitator
This position is open to current OKDHS employees ONLY
This position will be located in McAlester, OK.
Shift-diff pay is paid after standard hours.
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
Travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
OR
a Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
OR
Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
Position serves as a Child Safety Meeting (CSM) Facilitator in a specialized regional unit. Coordinates and facilitates Child Safety Meetings based on the Annie E. Casey 6-stage model of Team Decision Making.
Identify and support the family's natural network of relatives and significant others to participate in safety planning and as placement resources, when necessary.
Identify participants' roles and responsibilities to help the family keep their children safe. Identify family strengths, resources, and protective capacities, and engage family and other supports in determining how those can be used to ensure safety.
Develop specific, individualized interventions that permit the child to remain safely in the least intrusive, least-restrictive environment.
Explore alternative safety interventions as a contingency plan.
