ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING

POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant Director of Development and Marketing supports the Newman Center’s Annual Fund and Capital Campaign while managing branded marketing and communications efforts. This role advances the mission of Catholic campus ministry through donor engagement, digital marketing, events, and strategic communications.
POSITION DETAILS
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Chaplain and Director of Development
Active practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church
Commitment to the Church’s mission to welcome all and to spread the Gospel
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and manage Annual Fund and Capital Campaign marketing efforts
Coordinate newsletters, appeals, email campaigns, and donor communications
Manage website, e-commerce, and social media platforms
Execute at least three annual email campaigns (Alumni July, Giving Tuesday, End of Year)
Assist with donor cultivation events and stewardship initiatives
Supervise part-time student workers supporting outreach, gratitude, and marketing
Serve as campus liaison for marketing, tabling, and outreach efforts
Support alumni and community cultivation and solicitation
Manage Pushpay ChMS, online giving, and related systems
Ensure marketing efforts align with budget and strategic goals
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred)
3+ years of fundraising or marketing experience (or willingness to learn)
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with digital marketing, websites, and social media
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Canva
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Passion for the mission of Catholic campus ministry
Spanish fluency a plus but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Availability to work weekends
