What You’ll Do As a

Document Specialist III

you will develop and draft document solutions that meet internal and external client needs, and serve as a resource in identifying, interpreting, and communicating complex legislative, regulatory, and compliance issues that affect retirement documents.

Here are some examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

Provide analysis and guidance of retirement document interpretation issues and retirement document design questions.

Produce accurate and timely complex retirement documents in accordance with applicable laws and regulations to meet client and business partner expectations.

Communicate with plan sponsors, consultants, tax/legal advisors, or regulators, as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.

Provide technical assistance to team members, internal clients, and external clients for complex document production and plan review questions.

Provide input regarding procedures and develop document provisions and design.

Mentor and train new hires in Retirement and Income Solutions Document Services.

Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

Who You Are

Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience.

Must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Experience researching and interpreting laws and regulations affecting retirement documents as needed.

Must have in-depth knowledge of document provisions.

Must have excellent time management skills.

Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays.

Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $55800 - $100800 / year

Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Job level We’ll consider hiring a candidate at the next level with the right experience and skills.

Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
