Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050. This is a 6 month contract focusing on high volume full cycle Recruiting of Entry Level candidates. Position Purpose

The Contract Recruiter supports Pinto Valley operations by executing full-cycle recruiting for entry-level positions. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to attract, screen, interview, and refer qualified candidates while ensuring alignment with company policies and workforce needs. Position Responsibilities Full-Cycle Recruiting: Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to manage end-to-end recruiting activities, including job intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer coordination for skilled trades and entry-level roles. Talent Sourcing: Build and maintain candidate pipelines through community outreach, colleges, employment agencies, recruiting platforms, social media, job boards, and other talent sources. Candidate Screening & Assessment: Review resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, evaluate candidate qualifications, and compare skills and experience against job requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate recruiting discussions with hiring managers and HR Business Partners, including regular updates on candidate pipelines and critical vacancies. Hiring Compliance: Ensure candidates meet job qualifications, pre-employment requirements, and company standards prior to placement. Recruitment Reporting: Track recruiting activity, generate reports, and analyze metrics related to candidate flow, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness. External Coordination: Maintain professional communication with candidates and recruiting agencies throughout the hiring process to support a positive candidate experience. Position Requirements Required: 1–3 years of recruiting or related human resources experience. Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting processes. Experience supporting high volume entry level hiring. Strong communication, interviewing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to utilize modern recruiting tools, including job boards, social media, and digital sourcing platforms. Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English fluently. Preferred: Experience in the mining, industrial, or heavy equipment environment. Experience using ADP or other HRIS and applicant tracking systems. Experience preparing recruiting reports and analyzing hiring metrics. Work Environment / Physical Demands This role is primarily office-based and may include a hybrid or on-site work arrangement. Work 4 10-hour days a week (2 remote & 2 onsite) Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting interviews and managing recruiting systems. Occasional interaction with operational leaders and candidates in field or site environments may be required. All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check. All positions require a pre-placement physical examination to ensure candidates are 'fit for duty’. Additional training and/or testing may be required.
