About the Role We are seeking an experienced Hotel Sales Manager to support the overall sales efforts of our full-service hotel. This role is responsible for selling and managing assigned market segments, driving room and/or event revenue, and building strong client relationships while supporting the hotel’s revenue and occupancy goals.
This position is designed to be flexible across sales segments (Group, Catering, Business Travel, or Hybrid), depending on business needs and the strengths of the individual hired.
What You’ll Do – Sales & Revenue
Solicit, negotiate, and contract business across assigned market segments
Respond to inbound sales inquiries and proactively generate new business
Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales documentation
Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals
Maximize total hotel revenue through strategic selling and upselling
Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts, and activity tracking in the sales system
Manage assigned accounts from inquiry through contract
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the sales and planning phases
Coordinate internally with Catering, Events, Operations, and Revenue Management teams
Support site visits, client meetings, and presentations as needed
Ensure accurate communication, documentation, and handoff to operating departments
Work closely with the Director of Sales and/or Director of Catering to support hotel goals
Follow established booking windows, pricing strategies, and brand standards
Collaborate with fellow Sales Managers to balance demand and availability
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external clients
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of hotel sales experience (full-service preferred)
Experience selling group, catering, business travel, or hybrid segments
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
Experience with hotel sales systems preferred
Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
