A Los Angeles–based Clinical Psychologist and UCLA School of Medicine instructor is seeking a
part-time Social Media & Digital Marketing Assistant
with strong social media experience and an interest in educating the general public about neuroscience, optimizing mental health and living life to the fullest.
Role Overview You will help create, package, and promote engaging mental health content for a growing online audience. This will include
reel creation, content strategy, and audience cultivation
across platforms. The ideal candidate is
assertive, creative, and comfortable taking initiative
in shaping content that resonates with the general public. There is an existing database of compelling content, and you will have the opportunity to create new content from research and online databases. Ideally, you will be comfortable working independently and collaborating with others who possess a passion for clinical psychology and empowering the public.
There may be an opportunity to contribute to the content and promotion of an in progress book for the general public on Attachment, Anxiety, Emotion Regulation, Anger, Recovered Memories, the Brain, and Healing Trauma.
Key Responsibilities
Create and edit short-form video content (Reels/TikTok)
Manage and grow social media presence on
Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and X
Collaborate on content related to mental health, anxiety, attachment, and emotional wellbeing
Assist with digital marketing and branding efforts
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience using social media platforms in your personal life and/or for causes you believe in (especially Instagram & TikTok)
Comfort with reels, trends, and audience engagement
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Interest in psychology, mental health, or education
Canva experience preferred
5–10 hours per week
Hybrid role
with
at least 3 hours onsite weekly in Westwood between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Must
reside in Los Angeles
Scheduling flexibility is possible around classes and other commitments
Minimum 4-month commitment preferred
This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in marketing, psychology, social sciences, or digital media, and offers meaningful exposure to clinical psychology, psychiatry, mental healthoptimization and education, and business promotion while building real-world social media experience.
