About the Role We are seeking a Chief Communications Officer with deep experience managing press releases, media relations, and large‑scale distribution. This executive will own our external voice shaping how the company is presented to the public, partners, investors, and the press. This role requires a proven leader who understands how to craft narratives that move markets, manage sensitive announcements, and execute press strategies with precision, credibility, and reach.
Key Responsibilities
Manage high‑impact announcements including partnerships, funding, product launches, and corporate milestones
Serve as the primary point of contact for media and press outlets
Prepare executives for interviews, media appearances, and public statements
Press & Distribution
Oversee press release distribution
Maintain and leverage relationships with journalists, editors, and media organizations
Ensure messaging consistency across all earned media channels
Manage embargoes, exclusives, and coordinated press strategies
Brand & Narrative Control
Define and protect corporate messaging, tone, and positioning
Ensure alignment between press, marketing, investor communications, and public statements
Manage crisis communications and sensitive disclosures when required
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with legal, investor relations, and marketing teams
Manage internal communications alignment with external messaging
Build and oversee internal and external PR resources, agencies, and consultants
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in executive communications, PR, or corporate affairs
Demonstrated experience handling press releases and large‑scale distribution
Proven relationships with national and business media outlets
Experience managing press during high‑visibility events (funding, M&A, product launches)
Exceptional writing and editing skills
Strong judgment, discretion, and crisis‑management capability
Preferred
Experience as a Chief Communications Officer, VP of Communications, or Head of PR
Background in technology, infrastructure, logistics, or hardware‑enabled companies
Experience supporting pre‑IPO organizations
Familiarity with regulatory and disclosure considerations
