Position Title: Rating Analyst, Americas Public Finance - Utility Revenue
Location: Englewood, CO

Key Responsibilities
Conducting in‑depth research and preparing comprehensive documents and presentations for rating committees.
Attending rating committee meetings alongside senior analysts as assigned.
Demonstrating a solid understanding of ratings criteria and financial statement analysis.
Assisting in the collection and analysis of data for special projects.
Collaborating with analysts to publish periodic thought leadership articles.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, government/public policy, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a related role.
A demonstrated interest in government operations and utilities.
A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, including cash flow and credit models.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients.
High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of programming languages, data analytics, and experience with AI and automation tools that enhance efficiency is a plus.
Willingness to learn through formal training and hands‑on experience, adaptability to handle changing priorities and complex situations, and creativity to bring innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple priorities with organization and attention to detail.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week. Candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process must attend at least one in‑person interview, ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office, before an offer can be made.
Compensation/Benefits Information (U.S. candidates only) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is USD $63,000 – $84,000. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
