We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Plumbing Designer to join a growing MEP firm. This role focuses on the design and coordination of plumbing systems for a wide variety of building types, offering the opportunity to work on technically engaging projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The Plumbing Designer will be responsible for developing efficient, code-compliant plumbing system designs and supporting project delivery from concept through construction documentation. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, coordination with design teams, and contributing to high-quality building solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas distribution
Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications
Perform basic hydraulic calculations and system sizing
Coordinate designs with architects, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards
Support project teams throughout design development and construction phases
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in plumbing system design for buildings
Working knowledge of plumbing codes and standards
Experience with Revit is preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) is a plus, not required
